This standard describes a method of forming flaws in painted steel or specimens for corrosion testing when the paint system is applied to a dry film thickness of less than 500 μm. This standard is provided as a guide only and is based on the results of joint tests without subsequent corrosion tests performed to determine the suitability of the flaws for corrosion testing.
