This standard specifies requirements for interoperability so that public bicycles rented by one public bicycle system can be returned by another public bicycle system when trying to interconnect public bicycles between different public bicycle systems. Interconnection of public bicycles between public bicycle systems is limited to returning public bicycles rented from one place to another public bicycle system. Renting a public bicycle from another public bicycle system using member information registered in one public bicycle system is outside the scope of interconnection stipulated in this standard and is not supported. However, if necessary, it is defined in a separate standard. In addition, the integration of public bicycles into existing public transportation systems such as buses and subways to provide transportation transfer services is also outside the scope of this standard, and should be defined as a separate standard when necessary.
