Scope

This standard specifies methods for the determination of the color properties of pigments to be tested relative to standard pigments, and the method for expressing the degree of dispersion (DH) of pigments by the difference in tinting intensity produced when coloring materials are dispersed into plasticized polyvinyl chloride mixtures under various conditions. test methods. This method is applicable to organic and inorganic black and colored pigments and pigment preparations. The pigment dispersion measured by this method is only applicable to the dispersion equipment, dispersion conditions and dispersion medium used. If the test conditions are different from those specified in this section, the results obtained (including absolute values and relative values between various pigment dispersion values) may also be different. Therefore, (DH) specified in this section is only used to express the pigment dispersion value measured by the method specified in this section. The spectral photometric data of the color chips produced at 130°C in this part can also be used for routine quality control. If used for quality control purposes, the ratio of pigment to titanium dioxide pigment needs to be agreed between the parties involved. It is recommended to use a more convenient and widely used ratio: the ratio of organic pigments to titanium dioxide pigments is 1:10; the ratio of inorganic pigments to titanium dioxide pigments is (0.2~0.5):1. Appendix A gives a description of a suitable base mix.
