Scope: This standard specifies a gas chromatographic method for the determination of phenolic compounds in solid waste and solid waste leachate. This standard is applicable to the determination of 21 phenolic compounds in solid waste and solid waste leachate. Other phenolic compounds may also be applied to this standard if they pass verification. When the sampling amount of solid waste is 10.0 g, the method detection limit of 21 phenolic compounds is 0.02~0.33 mg/kg, and the lower determination limit is 0.08~1.32 mg/kg. See Appendix A for details. When the sampling volume of solid waste leachate is 100 ml, the method detection limit of 21 phenolic compounds is 0.002~0.006 mg/L, and the lower limit of determination is 0.008~0.024 mg/L.
