Scope

This standard specifies the morphology of various defects generated during the preparation and mechanical processing of germanium polycrystals and germanium single crystals. This standard applies to the production and research of germanium polycrystals, germanium single crystals, germanium grinding sheets and polished lenses. The manufacture of germanium diodes, transistors and infrared windows can also be referred to.
