Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the principal dimensions and materials of eyes, forks and associated bolts or pins used in components subject to tensile loads. 1.2 Eyes, forks and bolts or pins of dimensions conforming to this standard shall be used only for tensile loads. 1.3 This standard does not apply to components subjected to compressive thrust or torsional loads.
