This standard provides a framework for the recognition and presentation of information about cargo container electronic seals. The recognition system provides clear and unique recognition of the container seal, seal status and related information. The representation of this information is provided through a wireless communication interface, along with recognition of the seal and whether the seal of the cargo container has been opened. This standard specifies a read-only, non-reusable cargo container seal identification system, and also has an associated system to verify correctness of use:
——Sealer status recognition system - Battery status indicator - Unique seal identifier, including manufacturer identification - type of seal (tag) This standard is used in connection with other parts of KS T ISO 18185. This standard is KS T ISO 668, KS T ISO 1496-1 1496-5, and applies to all electronic sealing devices used in cargo containers specified in KS T ISO 8323. It also applies to cargo containers not covered by these standards, if appropriate and implementable.
