Scope

This standard describes and prescribes devices and simple measuring methods for regularly measuring defects in corners, edges and other surfaces of refractory bricks. However, this standard is not applied to measure internal defects in bricks. Additionally, the specifications are not intended to be used as criteria for approving or disposing of bricks. Unless otherwise stated, the methods described in this standard are in accordance with KS L ISO 5019-1 through KS L ISO 5019-6 and KS L ISO 5417. It is limited to application in the standard format.
