Scope

This standard specifies a test method to determine the uniaxial compressive strength of a free-standing test specimen in the absence of confining pressure. It mainly targets clay soil that is not disturbed, but can also be applied to free-standing test specimens such as kneaded samples, compacted soil, or sandy soil.
