This standard relates to immunity requirements and test methods for conducted and common mode disturbances in the direct current to 150 kHz range for electrical and electronic equipment. The purpose of this standard is to provide power supply, control, signaling and communication of electrical and electronic equipment. It is intended to establish a common and reproducible basis for testing when applying common mode disturbances to ports. This standard defines:
——Test voltage and current waveforms - Range of test levels - Test equipment - Test setup -Test ProceduresFor some types of ports, for example ports where highly balanced lines are intended to be used, additional test provisions may be specified by the product committee's specifications. Tests may include power line currents and return of the earthing system. It is intended to demonstrate the immunity of electrical and electronic equipment when exposed to conducted and common mode disturbances arising from leakage currents. Disturbances generated in 400 Hz power systems are not included in the scope of this standard. These disturbance phenomena Actual disturbances caused by this are relatively rare, except in the case of industrial plants. Therefore, product committees should consider whether there is a justification for applying this standard in product standards/family standards (see also section 3). This test is not applicable to ports of equipment connected by short cables of less than 20 m in length. Not appropriate.
