Scope

This standard specifies the rules to be used for indicating tolerances for planar error in drawings for the manufacture and inspection of optical systems and optical elements. This standard applies to both spherical and aspherical surfaces. Annex A provides the planar error tolerance. Explain the relationship between tolerance and tolerance of radius of curvature.
