- This part of YY/T 0873 specifies the characteristic coding numbers for dental diamond rotary instruments and diamond-coated cutting discs. The 3-digit numbers in this section constitute the fourth group of 3-digit numbers in the 15-digit full array. The coding principles have been explained in YY/T 0873.1 and YY/T 0873.2. This section also gives a 3-digit number in addition to the 15-digit code number. This 3-digit number can be used to provide additional information on diamond rotary instruments and diamond-coated cutting discs. This additional information is provided at the discretion of the dental device manufacturer.
