Scope

This standard specifies two test methods A and B for the sealing performance of gaskets used in pipeline flanges. Both test methods in this standard are applicable to asbestos rubber gaskets, polytetrafluoroethylene coated gaskets, metal coated gaskets, wound gaskets and metal gaskets.
