- The guideline aims to clearly classify CVD diamond tools, their production and characterization as well as their areas of application. In order to illustrate the variety and main areas of application of CVD diamond tools and to narrow down the applications in a meaningful way, the manufacturing processes most commonly used in production are taken into account. The guideline serves to communicate between manufacturers and users of CVD diamond tools and defines quality characteristics of the tools. In the application-related part, a recommendation for the use of CVD diamond tools is given based on the machining task.*www.vdi.de/2841
