- The document contains prescriptions and rules for the application of Boolean algebra to the analysis of functionality. It is applicable to projects in which functionality is to be viewed as a critical system parameter and in which analytical investigations of functionality are to be carried out in accordance with VDI 4003 Sheet 2. The Boolean model is the simplest and most common form of an analytical functionality model. It describes systems with the help of statements about the behavior of system components and logical connections of these statements according to the rules of switching algebra (Boolean algebra).*www.vdi.de/4008
