VDI 3839 Blatt 2-2013 Instructions on measuring and interpreting the vibrations of machines - Vibration patterns for excitation arising from unbalance, incorrect assembly, bearing faults and damage to rotating components
The guideline provides an overview of vibration excitations which can occur in all types of machines which have rotating masses, irrespective of their size, output and speed. Thereby, it describes in detail the typical excitation mechanism and the characteristic vibration patterns. It gives instructions for analysis and interpretation of measured vibration data.
