Scope
The guideline shows which initial investigations should be carried out after pollutant emissions caused by acute disruptive events in industrial plants in order to determine the extent of possible environmental damage and health risks and to be able to take appropriate measures to minimize them. The use of passive biomonitoring is explained, i.e. the assessment of visible symptoms in vegetation and the investigation of pollutant accumulations in food and fodder plants.
