This part of NB/T 47013 specifies the uniform wall thickness reduction of carbon steel, low alloy steel and other ferromagnetic materials used for pressure equipment in use due to corrosion, erosion or mechanical damage without removing the covering layer. Testing methods and evaluation criteria. This section is applicable to the detection of wall thickness reduction of the base material of pressure-bearing equipment with covering layers that meet the following conditions: a) The thickness of the metal protective layer is not greater than 1 mm; b) For stainless steel or aluminum protective layers, the thickness of the covering layer is not more than 1 mm. Greater than 200mm; for the iron protective layer, the thickness of the covering layer shall not be greater than 100mm; c) The thickness of the base material shall range from 3mm to 70mm; d) The diameter of the pipe or fitting shall not be less than 50mm; e) The temperature range of the base material shall be -196°C to 500°C. For the inspection of pressure-bearing equipment in use without covering layer, please refer to this section.
