Scope

This standard specifies the refractometer method for the determination of soluble solids in fruit and vegetable products. This standard is applicable to the determination of the soluble solid content of fruit and vegetable products and fresh fruits and vegetables. The test results are expressed in terms of sucrose mass percent concentration. If the products contain substances other than sucrose, the test results are approximate values.
