- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of air traffic control secondary surveillance radar (hereinafter referred to as secondary surveillance radar). This standard is applicable to the design, production and acceptance of various types of short-range and long-range SSRs, and is the basic basis for formulating product standards for various types of SSRs.
