- Scope
- This standard specifies the terms and definitions of the static weight of railway rolling stock and the principles for weight determination. This standard applies to railway rolling stock in the following three application situations: a) trains with a speed of 200 km/h and above; b) passenger cars with a speed below 200 km/h (passenger trains, subways and light rail); c) freight cars. The locomotive is regarded as an unladen passenger car.
