This standard specifies the test conditions, condition tests, test procedures and environmental test marks for pollution tests. The meaning of "pollution" in this standard is the contact of corrosive chemical substances 1) (hereinafter referred to as reagents) with optical instruments. This standard applies to optical instruments, instruments incorporating optical components and optical components. This standard is not applicable as a normal production control.
