Scope

This standard specifies the method by which the reciprocating motion of a standard plunger in an epoxy resin curing system is resisted to a value to indicate gel time. This standard applies to epoxy resin curing systems whose gel time is not less than 5min at the test temperature. This standard does not apply to high viscosity resins and systems with fillers.
