Scope
This standard specifies a test method for determining the interfacial tension between two liquid phases by measuring the volume of a droplet. This standard is applicable to the determination of the interfacial tension between two solutions of surfactants in water or organic solvents. Note: Compared with the pull-up liquid film method, this standard has the following advantages: a. It can measure the interfacial tension between the two liquid phases of various surfactant solutions including cationic surfactants; b. It can measure the viscosity of viscous liquids. Interfacial tension; c. Can accurately measure low interfacial tension of 1mN/m level; d. Repeatability standard deviation is less than ± 0.5mN/m (can be used for industrial laboratory control); e. Interfacial tension can be measured with only a small amount of solution ; f. With a simple automatic device, the relationship between interfacial tension and time can be measured.
