Scope

This standard is applicable to the design of DC power systems for new construction, expansion and reconstruction projects of power plants with a single unit capacity of 1000MW and below and substations, series compensation stations and DC converter stations with a capacity of 1000kV and below. Power plants include coal-fired power plants, oil-fired power plants, gas-fired power plants and biomass power plants, as well as renewable energy power plants and conventional parts of nuclear power plants. This standard does not apply to communication-specific DC power supply systems.
