Scope: See A.1. This part of GB 6675 specifies the requirements and test methods for domestic indoor and outdoor activity toys intended for children under 14 years of age to play on or in them. This section applies to swings, slides, seesaws, carousels, rocking toys, climbing frames, fully enclosed children's swing seats and other products intended to carry the weight of one or more children. This part does not apply to the following products: a) fitness and sports equipment, unless they are connected to activity toys; b) equipment intended to be used in schools, day-care centres, kindergartens, public playgrounds, restaurants, shopping centers and similar public places; c) Juvenile care products such as (but not limited to) baby swings, playpens, cribs or furniture including picnic tables, rockers for cradles and products specially designed for therapy.
