This part of GB/T 19639 specifies the model designation, outline structure and dimensions, and terminal positions of general-purpose valve-regulated lead-acid batteries (hereinafter referred to as batteries). This section applies to emergency lighting equipment, uninterruptible power supplies, mobile measuring equipment, etc., and various DC power supply batteries with a rated capacity below 65 Ah (including 65 Ah). The single battery of this type of lead-acid battery can be installed in a square groove with flat electrodes, or in a cylinder with wound electrodes. The sulfuric acid electrolyte in the battery is stagnant, or adsorbed in the microporous structure between electrodes or in the form of colloid. This section does not apply to batteries used for other purposes, for example, lead-acid batteries for starters, lead-acid batteries for traction, stationary valve-regulated lead-acid batteries, sealed lead-acid batteries for electric power boosters, and miniature valve-regulated lead-acid batteries.
