- This standard is equivalent to CCITT recommendation X.24. This standard is a definition table of interchangeable circuits between data terminal equipment and data circuit termination equipment on my country's public data network. This standard defines the functions of switching circuits between the data terminal equipment and the data circuit terminating equipment needed to transmit binary numbers, call control signals and timing signals on the data network. These circuits are suitable for a range of services provided by public data services, such as circuit switched services, telex services, packet switched services, message registration and retransmission services, and facsimile telegraph services. The translation of this standard is based on the English version of CCITT Recommendation X.24 (1984). In the text, the word "recommendation" should be understood as a standard regulation, while the word "international" should be understood as both international and domestic.
