Scope

The multi-part document EN 300 396 defines direct mode operation (DMO) of the trans-European radio network (TETRA). It specifies the basic radio interface, interworking between direct mode (DM) groups through repeaters and interworking with TETRA Voice plus Data (V+D) through gateways. It also specifies the security aspects in DMO of TETRA and the intrinsic services which are supported in addition to the basic support services and teleservices.
