Scope
This International Standard specifies the safety requirements for diesel engines with a rated power greater than or equal to 100 kW used for propulsion and essential auxiliaries in the generation of electricity for large yachts of a hull length greater than or equal to 100 kW. equal to 24 meters, measured in accordance with is 8666:2002 and of a tonnage less than 500 GT, used in commercial, sport or leis re use, and not carrying goods or more than 12 passengers.
