Scope
This standard specifies the abbreviations, terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, reliability tests, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for miniaturized pluggable transceiver modules for Gigabit Ethernet copper cables. This standard applies to miniaturized pluggable transceiver modules for Gigabit Ethernet copper cables (hereinafter referred to as Gigabit copper cable transceiver modules).
