Scope

This standard specifies the metallographic evaluation method for center segregation of high carbon steel wire rods. This standard is suitable for the metallographic method to evaluate the central segregation occurring in high carbon steel wire rods (hereinafter referred to as wire rods). Wire rods with other carbon contents can be evaluated with reference to this standard.
