Scope

This part specifies the requirements for the design, manufacturing, performance, materials, testing, packaging, transportation and installation of reactor coolant pump canned motors (referred to as main pump canned motors) used in nuclear power units of nuclear power plants. This section applies to canned motors for reactor coolant pumps of nuclear power plants in nuclear power plants.
