Scope
This standard specifies the identification principles, procedures and methods for safety-level continuous duty motors and their interfaces in nuclear power plants. This standard is applicable to the identification of safety-grade three-phase squirrel-cage AC motors in nuclear power plants. It is also applicable to the identification of improved or repaired motors. It is not applicable to the identification of motors in valve driving devices. The identification of other types of AC motors can be used as a reference.
