Scope: This standard specifies the method for determining the volatilization rate of samples by thermogravimetric method. This standard applies to the use of a thermogravimetric analyzer to test the volatilization rate of a single volatile component in the temperature range of 25 °C to 500 °C. This standard is suitable for testing samples whose volatilization rate is greater than 5 μg/min. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to determine whether and how often to repeat the test to meet the requirements for use. This standard does not cover all safety issues related to its use. Before using this standard method, it is the user's responsibility to establish appropriate safety and health practices and confirm the applicability of the specifications.
