Scope

This document specifies the method by which subtitles, logos and other graphic elements can be encoded and transported in DVB bit streams. The system applies color palettes (CLUT) to define the colors of graphic elements. The transport of encoded graphic elements is based on the MPEG-2 system described in the is /IEC 13818-1 standard.
