Scope: This standard specifies the unified method for calculating the average ground specific pressure for self-propelled and towed crawler-type (chain-rail) earth-moving machines defined in ISO 6165 when the working device or attachment is unloaded on a soft road surface. The average ground specific pressure value is only used for comparison of different models of machines, and the actual ground specific pressure value will change due to load, center of gravity position, terrain, track shoe type and specification, ground conditions, etc.
