Scope: This standard specifies the type, model and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, storage and transportation of hand pumps. This standard applies to piston pumps, diaphragm pumps and screw pumps (collectively referred to as manual pumps, hereinafter referred to as pumps) driven by human power for pumping clean water at normal temperature. Other types of human pumps can also be implemented by reference.
