Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for the basic properties of vacuum switch contact materials such as density, hardness, conductivity and gas (oxygen, nitrogen) content. This standard is applicable to the measurement of density, hardness and conductivity of various vacuum contact materials. The gas content test method is only applicable to copper-chromium contact materials.
