Scope
This standard stipulates the inspection personnel, inspection equipment, operation essentials, and inspection result recording and evaluation for ultrasonic inspection of steam turbines, turbine generator rotors and spindle forgings. This standard is applicable to the ultrasonic testing of various rotor and spindle forgings with a diameter of less than 2500 mm. Other shaft forgings with similar working conditions can refer to this standard. This standard is applicable to ultrasonic testing using the longitudinal wave contact method on the outer circumferential surfaces of rotors and spindle forgings using the principle of pulse reflection ultrasonic testing.
