This standard specifies a reference method for detecting the Minimal Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) against yeast-like fungi using the classic Broth Macrodilution method, and recommends that the results of this reference method have good results. Consistent Broth Microdilution method. This standard is applicable to drug susceptibility testing of yeast and yeast-like fungi (deep fungal infections caused), including Candida spp. (including C. glabrata) and Cryptococcus neoformens. Not applicable to biphasic fungi, such as Blastomyces dermatitidis Histoplasma capsulatum subsp.
