Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and descriptions, components and materials, technical requirements, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage, inspection and monitoring of external prestressed cables (hereinafter referred to as external cables). This standard is applicable to newly-built prestressed concrete girder bridge structures. The maintenance and reinforcement of existing bridge structures and external cables for other structures can refer to this standard for implementation.
