This document describes the control of PCR reagents for the detection, genotyping or quantification of analytes, used in the field of animal health. It exclusively involves control bodies and manufacturers of PCR reagents. The control of nucleic acid extraction and/or purification reagents is not covered in this document. PCR method validation (within the meaning of the XP U 47-600 standard) is covered in the XP U 47-600-2 standard. However, if the PCR method is indivis ble (extraction/purification and PCR reagents inseparable; example: micro fluidic system), the control concerns the method.
