This European Standard applies to road maintenance machinery which is attached to or mounted on a carrier vehicle as defined in Clause 3. Directives and standards relating to aspects of the vehicle chassis referred to as "carrier vehicles" in this standard, should be those relating to this equipment even when specific modifications have been made to transform road maintenance machines. Use on public roads is subject to national regulations.
