This European Standard establis es the general principles for the design, manufacture and type testing of linkage adjusters. This document applies to double-acting linkage adjusters designed to automatically maintain the clearance between the shoe at a constant value. (shoe) and the tire (wheel) of vehicles equipped with shoe brakes with conventional brake cylinder and linkage, regardless of the track gauge.
