Scope

This International Standard specifies a method for the determination by gas chromatography of the contents of saturated, olefinic and aromatic hydrocarbons in gasoline for automobile engines and in automobile fuels based on ethanol (Superethanol or E85). In addition, the contents of benzene, oxygen compounds and total oxygen can be measured by this method.
