- This standard specifies the requirements for three-strand polyamide twisted rope, four-strand polyamide twisted rope and eight-strand polyamide braided rope made of polyamide fiber for use in all installations, and gives specifications for their marking. This standard applies to three-strand polyamide twisted ropes with a nominal diameter of 4 mm to 160 mm, four-strand polyamide twisted ropes with a nominal diameter of 10 mm to 160 mm, and eight-strand polyamide braided ropes with a nominal diameter of 12 mm to 160 mm.
