This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, etc. for activated carbon adsorption radon detectors. This standard is applicable to instruments that use activated carbon to adsorb radon progeny to measure the total amount of γ and calculate the activity concentration of the radon parent. This standard does not apply to energy spectrometers that use activated carbon to adsorb radon progeny to measure γ.
