Scope: This standard specifies the classification and labeling, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificates of magnesia-iron-aluminum spinel refractory bricks for cement kilns. This standard applies to refractory products that are pressed and fired using magnesia and pre-synthesized iron-aluminum spinel (chemical formula: FeO·AlO) as the main raw materials for use in the firing zone and transition zone of cement kilns.
