- This standard specifies the terms and definitions for the application of electromagnetic (eddy current) inspection technology to sort ferrous metals, sorting methods, personnel qualification requirements, interference factors, sorting equipment, comparison samples, sorting conditions and procedures, result evaluation and reporting. This standard is applicable to the mixing and sorting of various ferrous metal materials. The sorting of mechanical parts processed with ferrous metal materials can also be performed with reference to this standard.
